The East Anglia Border Terrier Club has a wide ranging membership, is dedicated to the furtherance of the breed, and is open to all who have an interest in and enjoy Border Terriers.

Secretary's Notes

We held our Open and Championship Shows during the past year.

In November 2006 at the Open Show Brian Dickinson (Badgerholme) had an entry of 78 dogs making 109 entries.

In April 2007 at the Championship Show Stewart McPherson (Brumberhill) had an entry of 223 dogs making an entry of 273.

I would like to take this opportunity of thanking all members of the Committee under the direction of Jeremy Young (Show Manager) who attended these shows and worked very hard to make them the success that they were.

A very enjoyable Christmas Party was held at Reach Village Hall as usual under the control of Jane O'Shea and Claire Ricks. Keith Green, our Vice President gave a talk on his experiences as a game keeper and the Alpe family ran the exciting terrier racing on the village green.

Our next show is our Championship Show to be held at St Ives on 13th April 2008. Our judge for this show will be Mrs Melanie Lewis (Tonromel) who is also the Secretary of the Southern Border Terrier Club. Schedules for this show will be distributed in due course and will be sent automatically to all of last year's exhibitors. All others who wish to enter should contact me or one of the Committee members. As usual I will be available at Crufts on Terrier Day to collect entries to save you postage (and guarantee delivery)

We will again be updating our judging list at the beginning of 2008 so ask that you send me your current judging CV to reach me by 31st December 2007. They can be sent:-

Our Annual General Meeting will be held as usual after the Championship Show on 13th April 2008 commencing after judging has ended but not before 3 pm. Nominations for office or proposals for consideration to be sent to me to arrive by 22nd March 2008 please.
